About
I have had a proper blog over at DonovanPalmer.com, but I have lost traction on it. A WordPress blog used to be so much more fun in the early days and now I just dread fighting the bloatware that it has become. I spent more time fighting my way through making it look cool with the latest trends, rather than focusing on sharing my ideas.
Interestingly enough, there has been a resurgence of what is being called by some as the 'small web'. Simple, mostly text websites. At the same time, I have grown to love Obsidian. A markdown text editor that is on the one hand very simple, but on the other hand can be made to do some very powerful things. Obsidian is at the heart of editing my plain text notes which go into DEVONthink and is the heart of my Personal Knowledge Management (PKM) system.
This site is published from those notes using Obsidian's Digital Garden Plugin and Vercel. I am curious if going back to the basics and just sharing my interest from my notes will put the fire back into my weblogging again.
