~ 00 Implement Obsidian

Background

I have used Devonthink to a lesser or greater degree over the years, particularly when I attended the University of Chester. However, I have found it very difficult to use to take notes.

I think part of the problem is that there is no replacement for jots and tiddles in a paper journal with notes in chronological order. I believe going forward this is going to continue to be my mainstay.

However, capturing from this journal the most important bits and processing my thoughts in a PKM might be the solution. If I can work this out with DevonThink, it would continue my journey in being digitally based. Since working on the ship I have not had a file cabinet of any substance. A set of 'ready folders' has been more than sufficient.

What I think is an interesting possibility is to use this not only to be digital for working remotely and around the world as a traveller, it is the ability to capture the most important information and create the connections that I have never been able to do before.

I am well on my way to this goal through the integration of BusyContacts and Mail, along with HoudaSpot. I can dig through my archives and find things in a way that I have never done before.

Additional thoughts

I need to work on the outputs of my knowledge management system. I also need to work on action output tags. (From Tiago Forte and a video I will take literature notes on)
